Poetic Voices.

The Poets meet the 3rd Saturday of every month from February to November 10-12 noon.

Convenor: Kay Cairns.

Level: Suitable for those who have some understanding of poetry. If you are unsure please come along to a session and have a chat with Kay.

Venue: Edith Cowan House, Building 20, ECU Joondalup Campus,  270 Joondalup Drive, Joondalup.

Parking: Free on weekends. You can park in any bay on weekends. Carparks 14 (enter from Lakeside Drive) & 8 are closest to the house. Click here for a directional map.

Group Overview:

A forum for poets to meet, write, and share their work with other poets. The group gives poets an opportunity to hone their skills and develop their own, unique, poetic voice gaining valuable feedback in a supportive atmosphere with like-minded people. It is aimed at those who have been writing for some time and have some familiarity with their genre. The first hour of each session is devoted to writing - following a brief focus on a poetic technique or prompt. The second hour is devoted to critiquing of a piece of work that members have brought to share with the group. All adult writers over the age of 18 are welcome.

Cost: $5.00: PCWC Members, $10: Non-Members. Includes light refreshments (tea, coffee, biscuits).
