PCWC invites you to join with Rashida Murphy as she takes you through the winning ways of writing for competitions. While there can never be a guarantee you will win there are certain things you can do to be, at least, in the running.
Competitions come in all shapes and sizes and Rashida has judged many types, most notably the WA Premier’s Literary Award, and The Hungerford Award. With years of experience, Rashida is across what you need to do to make sure your work remains in the ‘under consideration’ pile. There are a number of things you can do to give your entry its best chance at success and in this special event Rashida will talk you through these. So, come along with all your questions and ideas and get tips and tricks from a well-respected writing judge!
We are thrilled Rashida is returning to PCWC for this special event. Rashida is one of our founding members and it was a delight to welcome her back as our judge for the Peter Cowan 600 Word Short Story Competition this year. It is a wonderful opportunity for our members, and writing friends, to engage with a writer with years of writing experience - who is also a judge with years of reading experience. We are all looking forward to placing on many shortlists – if not winning!
You can find out more about Rashida on her website.
