Susan Midalia“Think Beyond the Obvious”

Susan uses her unique and imaginative flair through short story writing exercises and skilful thinking which will help you to discover new ways to explore your creative writing potential.

Susan Midalia has extensive experience as a Writer who grew up in the Western Australian Wheat belt and is the author of three compelling collections of short stories, relating to a variety of travellers searching for connection and belonging:
“A History of the Beanbag” and “An Unknown Sky” ~ have been highly commended by her peers and students. “Feet to the Stars” will be due for release in September 2015.

“Like Austen” Susan quotes “I’m drawn to inner spaces—to our thoughts and feelings, motives, fears, desires—the whole glorious mess of human consciousness. I’m interested in the things people think but don’t always say, as well as in what they manage to say in those moments of confusion, clarity, humility, disillusionment, affirmation, despair, consolation, that constitute our lives.

“Susan deserves to be read by the widest possible audience ~ The spirit of middle class Australia as it wanders in search of meaning between living room and shopping malls, campus and tower blocks “ (Robert Lumsden ~ The Adelaide Review)

Susan is also a member of: Maze of Story, a volunteer organisation which encourages creativity in socially and economically disadvantaged children.
