Long time PCWC member Hannah van Didden has been announced as the Writer in Residence for FAWWA this year…. Congratulations!

Hannah van Didden will be Writer-in-Residence at Mattie Furphy House from 30 Oct to 10 Nov.
Hannah’s short fiction is published in:
Southerly journal, Breach zine, the Grieve Anthology 2016, MoTHER zine, Paper Crown Magazine, The Ham (UK), Atticus Review (US), A Quiet Courage (US), Gravel Magazine (US), Southword Literary Journal (Ireland) and Quail Bell Magazine (US)

She writes literary fiction, as well as crime and speculative fiction. She is currently writing Wilderlander, Book 2 of her dystopian YA/adult Orenda trilogy.

She was a 2017 finalist for the Iceland Writer’s Retreat Alumni Award, finalist for the Scarlet Stiletto Awards 2014 for short crime fiction, and finalist for Shore Lines Writing for Performance Competition 2014.

WORKSHOP: TOMATO WRITING Saturday 4 Nov 1-4pm Mattie Furphy House.
This workshop outlines one way to use a Pomodoro (Italian for ‘tomato’). Write in short bursts to get more words from your writing sessions, and to develop trusting and effective writing partnerships. This will help you overcome writer’s block and develop critical thinking.
Come prepared to write, have fun, and share your writing with others.
Cost: $10 members $15 non-members

WRITE NIGHT: Tuesday 7 Nov 6-8pm Mattie Furphy House
Come for a fun evening of writing and creativity with Hannah.
Cost: $5 members $10 non-members

FRIDAY@FURPHYS: Friday 10 Nov 5-7pm Mattie Furphy House
Enjoy refreshments and meet Hannah, who will discuss her writing. Everyone welcome. Cost: $5
