Workshop Overview
Compelling Conversations dives into the heart of dialogue. Through an interactive discussion of dialogue techniques and how to apply them, this activity-based workshop allows writers to practise skills as they go. From info-dumping to phonetic speech, we’ll critique some dialogue faux pas and explore the techniques that really give dialogue power. The final activity will give writers the chance to put it all together. Writers will leave with a stronger understanding of how to wring the most power out of dialogue.
