Do you have a first draft of a short story? Not sure where to go from here? Need tips on how to improve it for possible publication? Through discussion, examples and short exercises, this workshop will provide techniques on how to streamline and strengthen your writing to bring each draft closer to your vision.
Brooke Dunnell’s short fiction has been published in Best Australian Stories, Westerly, Meanjin, Etchings, New Australian Stories 2 and other anthologies, and has been recognised in various competitions. Brooke judged the 2017 Peter Cowan Writers’ Centre Trudy Graham-Julie Lewis Literary Award for Prose and is a past PCWC Writer-in-Residence. She has taught on a range of writing topics for both children and adults, and has a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Western Australia.

Directions to the Centre: From Lakeside Drive to Deakin Road, enter Car Park 14. There is a visitors parking area, near the Gymnasium and Child Care Centre. Parking is free over weekends.
