Editing Your Short Stories (or Fiction) with Shane McCauley

Saturday 12th October 2019 1:30pm-4:30pm

 Shane McCauley

While better known as a prize-winning poet who has had eight books and over 1300 poems published in national and overseas journals, Shane wrote his first SF story in a school exercise book in 1968, possibly when he was supposed to be studying something else. His first published story (Westerly, 1975) was SF and he published several more from the 70s to the early 90s. Since then he has focused more on poetry, but has never lost his love for the fascinating and always relevant SF genre. He has a MA (Hons) in English from the University of Sydney and is a retired TAFE and university lecturer, having taught Creative Writing, among other subjects, for nearly 40 years.
